Almost done!

Jared is almost done with school and I am almost done with this pregnancy! But... we had a great summer in Utah/Idaho and here are some of my favorite photos:

The Chaffin Family Reunion.... good times!

Well, it was a successful family reunion. We played lots of waterballoon volleyball, saw the fireworks, stayed up too late, and got some good pictures out of the deal as well.

In the new place and Jared becoming an old fart!

So we are in the new place for the summer and Jared is turning 31! Grandma and Granpa Chaffin came to stay with us for part of the weekend so we got Jared an Indiana Jones Cake and had a party. It was fun and now Jared can't make any more cracks about me being an older woman for 6 months.

Grandma and Brody had a cake eating contest and Brody won... no surprise there; the kid lives on sugar!

The Last Days in Rexburg... (for now)

Our last Rexburg playdate for a while at Terry and Trina's... the kids did an easter egg hunt. It was a great day.
Our last day to play in the snow at the cabin this season. So much fun!


Jared got to try out Edwin's newest toys... the 2009 Polaris 800 Dragons... he loved it just a little bit too much... we think he either bruised or cracked a rib while showing off later in this sequence:) So worth it though.


Brody and Daddy on the Dragon... fun stuff. The whole day was a blast and Brody hasn't stopped talking about it. We actually made up a song about the "b-bile cabin" and he won't go to bed without it now.

The guys snowmobiling weekend

Jared in his happy place... Yeah all the guys went up to the cabin for the week and did guys stuff,... they watched movies, talked about dieting, complained about their spouses,discussed their favorite novels, watched movies, etc very manly stuff... they also broke a few rented machines. All in all, it sounded like they had a great time..

What were Brody and I doing while Jared and the boys were playing in the snow?... lets just say, it was really noisy and really messy... and Jared had to clean up the house when he got home (pretty much yer average couple of days)...

Weekend in Utah

Well, we just got back from Utah at Grandma and Granpa Wells'. It was fun... aside from all of us feeling under the weather... Both Brody and I have awful coughs and can't seem to get rid of them. We went to Temple square and wandered around... we looked at some apartments and on sunday, I got to go to the Messiah rehearsal with mom and sing with the small orchestra. On the way home we went to Grandma Chaffin's birthday party. All in all it was a really fun weekend. I think it's safe to say I am experiencing a strong pregnancy this time... I am sooo much sicker than even with Brody!... no fun, but a good sign, anyway, it will pass.... We miss you all and hope to see you soon... Love, Mar, Jar, and Brod

We are pregnant again!

Yep, if all goes well, I am be having another October baby which will be fun. It's still pretty early so everyone keep your fingers crossed for me that this takes better than last time! Anyhoo, for now, watch out, another Chaffin is on its way... Love, Mar Jar and Brod

I Love Christmas!

Christmas was great! We woke up in our own beds and were pretty much snowed in. I went for a jog through the deep Rexburg snow... it was really awesome. Terry had to come pick us up for the Christmas party because we couldn't get out of our parking lot! We had good food and played scum. I hope everyone's Christmas was as good as ours was. Jared is done with finals and he did

so well this semester with his classes...

we are all very proud. Only two more

semesters to go! We have our tiny

ghetto tree up and a few presents hidden

from Brody... We plan to be here Christmas morning. Our first Christmas not at someone

elses house. We will go see Grandma and

Grandpa Wells and the Lights on temple

square before christmas and then go to the

cabin, hopefully, with all the Chaffins for

New Year's Eve. We'll see if the weather

permits. Anyway, we miss you all...

Thanksgiving was so much fun...

We're back in Rexburg now but we spent a whole week in Utah at Grandma and Grandpa Wells's. It was really great to see almost the whole family there. It was a full house... utter chaos but so like it used to be. We all got colds, of course, and ate too much pie, etc. We stayed up way too late playing games, talking, and laughing (so worth being tired). The last night there Deb helped us figure out our webcam so we can stay in touch better now with everyone. Anyhoo, Jared's finals are coming soon and then it will be Christmas! We just bought our first fake tree (4 feet tall) and decorated it last night with the ghetto fabulous ornaments we have accumulated hand-me-down. It looks really tacky... I love it.
